Local Area Information

The nearby village of Chulmleigh is well appointed. It has two pubs, a bakery, florist, hairdresser, post office and a village shop. 

Chulmleigh has a par 3 golf course with a club house for drinks and food.

Numerous walks are to be found in the area with Eggesford Forest just 10 minutes drive away. Local walks start at The Cottage gate, turn right, walk up onto the ridge and you have panoramic views of Dartmoor and Exmoor. Horridge Moor and Chulmleigh Beacon are within walking distance.

We are extremely well located for exploring Devon.

Supermarkets are in South Molton, Barnstaple and Crediton. We tend to stop in one of these locations on our way home.

Major supermarkets deliver to the Cottage except for Ocado.
